Etapas 1 - 2
La combinación de prefiltro y filtro de malla remueve
partículas grandes de polvo, moho y caspa de mascotas. 
Mugre, polen, hongos y pelos son las mayores fuentes de
alergias. La combinación de prefiltro y malla atrapa las
particulas grandes que garantizan el buen funcionamiento
de las etapas posteriores ultrafinas de filtración, alargando
el tiempo de vida del sistema de filtración.

Etapa 3
El filtro Neutralizador utiliza un medio natural para
destruir las bacterias y virus. Contiene extractos naturales
de plantas que atraen y retienen estas moléculas,
neutralizando sus características irritantes sin el uso de
compuestos químicos o sintéticos. Estudios realizados
demuestran que esta etapa de filtración neutraliza
aproximadamente un 99% de contaminantes en
poco tiempo de uso.

Etapa 4
El Carbón Activado es un carbón natural que ha sido
tratado con oxígeno para abrir millones de diminutos poros
entre los átomos de Carbono. Es uno de los medios más
efectivos para la reducción de contaminantes al brindar una
superficie en donde se exponen y neutralizan los materiales
irritantes. La forma irregular del Carbón proporciona una
superficia porosa sobre la cual se hace circular el
aire para remover las partículas aéreas contaminantes.

Etapa 5
La última etapa de filtración es el filtro HEPA
(High Efficiency Particulate Air) es una tecnología de
filtración extremademente efectiva. Los filtros certificados
HEPA están sometidos a un riguroso control de calidad,
están en capacidad de remover partículas tan pequeñas como
3/10 de micrómetro (1 micrómetro es una millonésima parte
de un metro). Este filtro garantiza un nivel de filtración con
una eficiencia comprobada de un 99.97%.

Physical barrier/trap
A prefilter and filter combination captures dust,
pet hair and similarly-sized particles. The prefilter/filter
combination is made of long-lasting, reusable material
and has two important functions. In addition to serving
as primary filtration, it traps larger particles before
they can reach the ultrafine end-stage filters.

Activated carbon adsorption filtration
Carbon adsorption is a highly effective means of reducing contaminants. Adsorption is the capability of a solid substance to attract to its surface molecules of gases or solutions with which it is in contact. It differs from absorption, where the material is drawn below the surface, as with a sponge. Highly efficient adsorption occurs when the adsorbent material is selected for the properties that maximize this effect.

Charcoal carbon is ideal for adsorption because its irregular shape offers a large surface area. Activated carbon or charcoal is carboniferous material that has been treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. The use of special manufacturing techniques results in highly porous carbon that has a surface area of up to 2,000 square meters/gram.

HEPA filter
HEPA filtration is rated at 99.97% efficiency on particle sizes as small as 0.3 microns. The new ULPA technology in the KenkoAir provides 99.9995% removal of particles as small as 0.12 microns. No other air filtration system matches this level of performance. The filter removes airborne particles from an airflow by one of three mechanisms: interception, where particles following a line of flow in the airstream come within one radius of a fiber and adhere to it; impaction, where larger particles are unable to avoid fibers by following the curving contours of the airstream and are forced to embed in one of them directly; or diffusion, an enhancing mechanism as a result of the collision with gas molecules by the smallest particles, especially those below 0.1 µm in diameter, which are thereby impeded & delayed in their path through the filter.
